Decision-Making Support Using Process Mining



As for the decision-making in the sales activity, the careless mistake and the dependence on personal skills become the problems, because the human judgment according to past experience plays a main role. In this study, we are developing a sales activity decision support system that can properly recommend the suitable actions by applying the technique of “process mining”. The main challenges of this system are to extract processes from unstructured data such as mail texts and to recommend options including reasons in comparison with a conventional technique of process mining. Toward this, our developed sales activity decision support system adopts process discovery technique that applies topic analysis and recommendation system that uses Hidden Markov Model. Currently, we are introducing the verification system to common enterprises to evaluate the devel­oped decision support system.
